QR Codes

Generate dynamic, trackable QR codes for URLs, contact cards, WiFi networks, and SMS messages. Bridge the gap between offline and online with scannable codes that work everywhere.

Why QR Codes?

QR codes turn any physical surface into a clickable link. Use them on business cards, flyers, product packaging, restaurant menus, event badges, and anywhere you want to connect the physical world to digital content.

QR Code Types

URL QR Codes

The most common type. When scanned, the QR code opens your short link in the user's browser. All your link features work—routing, analytics, protection, everything.

Dynamic QR Codes: Because QR codes point to your short link (not the final destination), you can change where the QR code leads without reprinting. Update the destination anytime.

vCard QR Codes

Share contact information that users can save directly to their phone's address book. Perfect for business cards, email signatures, and networking events.

Customization

Colors

  • Foreground Color: The dark squares (default: black)
  • Background Color: The light areas (default: white)
Maintain Contrast: Always ensure sufficient contrast between foreground and background for reliable scanning. Light colors on light backgrounds won't scan properly.

Size

Download QR codes at various resolutions. For print, use higher resolutions to maintain quality when scaled up.

  • Small (200px): Digital use, emails
  • Medium (400px): General purpose
  • Large (800px): Print materials
  • Extra Large (1200px): Large format printing

Download Formats

  • PNG: Best for digital use and most print applications
  • SVG: Vector format, scales infinitely without quality loss
  • PDF: Ready for professional printing

QR Code Templates

Save your customization settings as templates for consistent branding across all your QR codes.

  1. Go to QR Templates in your dashboard
  2. Click Create Template
  3. Set your colors, size, and style preferences
  4. Save and apply to any QR code

QR Code Analytics

Every scan is tracked just like a regular link click. See:

  • Total scans
  • Scan locations
  • Device types (mostly mobile, as expected)
  • Time of scans
  • Conversion data (if tracking enabled)

Best Practices

Test Before Printing

Always scan your QR code with multiple devices before mass printing.

Size Appropriately

Minimum 2cm x 2cm for reliable scanning. Larger for scanning from distance.

Add a Call-to-Action

Include text like "Scan for menu" or "Scan to connect" near the QR code.

Use Dynamic Links

Point to ShrinkLink short links so you can update destinations without reprinting.

Supercharge Your Marketing

Combine QR codes with retargeting pixels and CTA overlays for powerful offline-to-online campaigns.
